We typically hire 1-3 undergraduate and/or newly graduated students as lab technicians each year. This is an excellent way to determine your level of interest in marine sciences or expand your current research experience. Our field season is most active between May and October. Therefore, most, but not all, job openings are for summer positions. We accept letters of interest, with an accompanying resume, during the spring semester. Prospective applicants should possess a strong work ethic, be creative, inquisitive, and capable of working independently. Previous lab experience is not required, but applicants are expected to provide strong letters of recommendation from previous employers and professors or academic advisors you have worked closely with.
